Twilight - Stephenie Meyer, Stephenie Meyer So, I am giving this a three, because I didn't feel tortured while reading it, but I also didn't immediately feel a need to recommend it to everyone I know who reads. And I plan to finish the others if for no other reason that I need to know what the series reads like in order to be more effective at recommending books at my job. That said, I don't think it is a work of art, and there are so many problems with character development, dialogue, and everything else. I am hoping that the later books get better, since this is obviously a starter.
